I’d still go with new farrier and see if they’re more freakin reliable and responsive.
Edit: especially since your original farrier doesn’t want to have to come out for just one horse regularly
Yup, that's my plan. At least new farrier seems to actually want my business
I only have like 2-3 more trims to get through before I move provinces, then I get to find a farrier all over again! Yayyyyy 🙄
I'm still not sure what kind of living situation I'm going to go for, but I'm leaning hard into the "rent/maybe buy? an acreage and bring all the horses with me" option so having a reliable farrier is going to be a necessity!
Are you close to popping btw? Idk how severe emotional distress can adversely affect that.
