Rate Constants

I think chad said temp was the only thing that would change rate constants but a catalyst will also change the rate constant right?
Right on. Remember the Arrhenius equation? Catalysts speed up the reaction by lowering the activation energy (Ea), but more specifically Ea affects the rate constant k.

k=Ae^(-Ea/RT)

Maybe Chad was referring to how Temperature is the only factor that affects the Keq of a reaction?

Yea, I believe Chad only refers to temperature as the only variable that could affect the Keq's value with regards to the whole bunch of different variables that affect a return from Q to Keq.
