I think it's safe to say that even in the Medical profession, there are bumping and grinding among people in the same program/hospital. Medical students, Residences, Attendings and Fellows-

1) What percentage of your classmates/colleages/co-worker are hot?
2) On a scale of 1 thru 10, rate the hotness of your most hottest colleages.
3) Is it smart to date him or her?
4) Would you sleep with him or her?
5) Are there more prettier/handsome D.O.'s than there are M.D.'s?
6) Do you know or heard any stories of Medical Students sleeping w/their residence or attendings in order to get good evaulations?

These are all very important questions to me as it will help me to visualize my offspring and to prepare me for Med. School. I was told by my HS teacher that there are no stupid questions. Please share your thoughts, experiences or lack thereof.

Co-workers: 1%; Classmates: 50%

several 8s, few 9s, two tens with whom I attended college.

3) Is it smart to date him or her?
Sure, why not?

4) Would you sleep with him or her?
Hell Yes

5) Are there more prettier/handsome D.O.'s than there are M.D.'s?
hmmmm...I've visited several medical schools of both degrees and I've got to say it's a tossup, however I think the D.O. girls that were hot, were higher on the hotness scale 😉

6) Do you know or heard any stories of Medical Students sleeping w/their residence or attendings in order to get good evaulations?
LOL, I don't personally.

Hey buddy, thanks for sticking with the format. Good job. I refuse to believe that there aren't any hotties that work in health care.

My current PCP (8/10) is an MD and she loves to wear mini skirt and show off her nice legs. Let's just say I've been very sick lately.

I go to a smart undergrad ... and it's a desert here, I can only imagine med school is 10x worse. I think the key is to go to a school that is either connected to a hot undergrad and cradle rob, or go to one with a LOT of other professional schools attached - ie OD, Nursing, PT, etc etc. I always figured NOVA would be good due to FL, number of grad schools, and that undergrad. Western probably wouldn't be bad either ... who knows.

You want to know what's hot though ... JaggerPlate as a 2 year member.

Based on the facebook pics for COMP co 2013....pretty damn hot here in so cali. I can answer better once in school.

As for my current co-workers, I work in an office where people are all twice my age and weenie shrinking ugly. :d

I may be a DO student soon so this thread is quite interesting.

5) Are there more prettier/handsome D.O.'s than there are M.D.'s?

LOL. I dont see why there would be, but maybe the DO's would have some better techniques in bed due to their OMM training?

OU has some attractive med students, both male and female.

I honestly do believe this to be the most important thread ever started on sdn... Good For You!👍

If you have nothing good to say, I rather you not post any comment.

LOL. Why are you being mean?? Anyway why are you worrying about women in med school?? UHMMM I've already claimed you so that pretty much means your LOCKED DOWWWWNN!!!!!!!! :meanie::meanie:

haha. I thought that my thread asked legitimate questions. I'm sure some of the pre-meds and others would like to know as well. It's important for me to ask these question as it will help prepare me for the reality of Med. School and that way I don't have unrealistic expectations. PMG, I've never been with a woman before. Moma told me they have "kudies".

Who cares about your classmates? If the selection is poor: wander over to the undergrad campus.

What is it with strange threads popping up now...

I can only answer 5). Yes.

And I'd probably sleep with anyone average and above if it got me an easy good grade. Especially in med school, where it counts. 😀

Good thing NYCOM shares its campus with an undergrad. If I get bored, I'll put on the ol' white coat and stethoscope and wander on over...

Let's wander together my friend. I will be sure to apply to NYCOM next app. cycle.

Good luck with that one

I thought this was a fun thread not a serious one. People need to lighten up some times...sheesh.🙄

1) What percentage of your classmates/colleages/co-worker are hot?

Oh, about 33%, perhaps. The hottest aren't my colleagues, however. Other branches of hospital staff may, in fact, be hotter, at a higher percentage of the total.

2) On a scale of 1 thru 10, rate the hotness of your most hottest colleages.

Pretty subjective, because it depends on what your "10" means. If I use my own definition, then I guess I'd have to say the relative hotness of my hottest colleague would be a 10.

3) Is it smart to date him or her?

I don't think so. It's generally not a good idea to date a colleague. Loads of trouble in that.

4) Would you sleep with him or her?

No. Not for the lack of wanting, but because of the trouble it could cause. See answer to question 3.

5) Are there more prettier/handsome D.O.'s than there are M.D.'s?

On average, I don't think so.

6) Do you know or heard any stories of Medical Students sleeping w/their residence or attendings in order to get good evaulations?

Well I've never encountered anyone who ADMITTED to it for the reasons you specified, but, yes, there are medical students and residents who sleep with each other and with attendings. I doubt it is very prevalent. It's not like Gray's Anatomy, you know. Everyone is generally overworked and such. The environment doesn't favor what you have in mind.

These are all very important questions to me as it will help me to visualize my offspring and to prepare me for Med. School. I was told by my HS teacher that there are no stupid questions. Please share your thoughts, experiences or lack thereof.

Contrary to popular belief, my observation is that medical students do not have any kind of special status in pursuing sexual relations. In some sense, it is a negative, so if you are thinking it's going to help you get lucky, I'd think twice about that. However, that said, medical school can be highly dysfunctional, especially with respect to relationships. Many people revert back to high school-like behavior. Students do end up sleeping with each other, for better or worse, and trysts do happen at hospitals (not necessarily among colleagues, however). And everyone tends to know it. There is quite the rumor mill in the intense and relatively intimate setting of medical school.

No. I like the chest region more so than the legs. Good hair and a good chest is all I care about. I have friends who like the small ones and good legs. I don't find those girls attractive.

Hair on the chest or just hair in general??😎

What do you think?

Priority:

1: Does she have something I can spend time with?

2: Is the first impression stuff looking good (aka good looking and healthy hair)

3: The rest.

Ok. I just want to know what is this obsession with hair?? I mean I understand its your thing but wow... I mean I'm obsessed with my hair as well but then again its mines.

 To the observant, changes in, or appearance of, hair and nails, can provide some nonspecific information about general wellness (or lack of).

True ... you don't want to date a girl with a pretty face, but a wicked case of scurvey.

Please don't pursue medicine. Otherwise you will end up being one of those Physician that has a personality of a rock. And once again, if you have nothing nice to say, I rather you not post anything.
Go outside and take a jog or something useful.

I just got out from volunteering at the ED and I have notice that all of the nurses at the triage treat patients like crap. Does Physician treat their patients like crap too?

It depends on the person? No one treats a patient like crap because they're in any particular position or have a specific title, but just because they're a-holes/frustrated/angry. This can happen a lot in the ED where a lot of patients can be quite rowdy and uncooperative (like when I volunteered in one in the heart of Manhattan and a patient threatened to pee on the doctor I was shadowing). Of course, you have to do your best to keep your cool regardless of position...otherwise you're no better than they are.

I have a feeling that was a deeper answer than you were asking for, but I'm bored. Also, this has nothing to do with hotness.

I go to an MD school and I can say my class is very attractive....very.

I am actually quite surprised how attractive.

Your ability to stay on track will make you a fine Physician one day.

My man, you have to stick with the format. I think we all like to hear more of your success story.

Huh, really?? I thought you went to NOVA.

I have noticed on more than a few occasions that once people on the pre-osteo board land an MD school acceptance... they take on a totally different attitude, and you wonder if they were the same people you were communicating with all these months.

I know what you mean ... but I really doubt MossPoh is one of those people. He's always been really cool and fair, and if he did pick an MD over a DO school, it was for legit reasons. I really don't see him as a person using DO as a backup. My guess would be tuition as he probably got into a state FL school.

your sarcastic, abrasive demeanor will make you an unpleasant physician to be around.

That was not sarcasm so your comment just made you look like a Douche! And second, if you have nothing nice to say, I rather you not post anything at all.

You are indeed correct my friend. I didn't originally apply to DO schools as backups. I got into FSU off of the waitlist. It is hard to turn down a school that is more than 10k a year cheaper in tuition and has housing costs at a fraction of the cost of South Florida. It is also about 30 minutes from my parents and involves no moving.

The funny thing about FSU is that they seem to have a more osteopathic attitude than many osteopathic schools. I've already heard countless times how we are trained to "treat the person and not just the disease". There are tons of things that are built into the curriculum to promote that as well. I still hang around the DO boards because honestly, I like them more. I feel uncomfortable in pre-allo in particular. I've established a connection with you guys over 2 years. I'm not going to abandon that because I chose a school with different letters. 😉

Besides, pre-allo has no sense of humor. (And thanks for the compliment too. 😉 )

oops. I still think you're abrasive though 😉
