Easy weekend! I'm the small animal caretaker this time, so not as much physical work. And no tests next week, so no major studying that needs to be done. Just a German quiz on Monday, but you know.. 🙄

And I finally updated my macbook. The touch pad works completely different now which annoys me much more than it should probably, but it's so much faster now! Amazing! Hahaha.

Yeah he didn't tell me, just waited until I randomly saw the email of his flight that he forwarded. It was kind of fun 😀. He's not coming until October 19th though 🙁

Yep! And I told him that he's not allowed to leave my sight until his next flight is booked from now on. Being apart is so much easier if you have a concrete date set on when you will see each other again 🙂

That's so true! Which is why it's so hard for me. I don't know when or even if the bf is getting a visa and coming back.. 🙁

We just booked a flight for my BF to come visit at the end of October! Not the best weekend for me, but whatever - it was that or wait until Christmas!
 
Had another great day with the boyfriend! We made our schedule for the next 2 weeks, and for the first time in a few weeks, he was excited and optimistic. Yay! I don't think we could be at this place without SDN! 😍

I think for the first time in my life I am 100% content and happy 🙂
I've always felt like I'm in limbo or waiting for the next phase of my life to get here, but I decided to just enjoy the ride and not always be looking ahead. I hate not having my BF with me, but I have my two awesome puppers, awesome friends and family, a nice apartment, a mattress that is helping my back pain tremendously (yes, this is a huge deal for me lol), an awesome opportunity to become a DVM :soexcited:, and the BF and I's relationship is better than ever. Life is good, and I am grateful :biglove:

We've been dropping to mid 50s at night but we've been stuck at ~94 for weeks and I was so tired of it. Couldn't wait for milder temps!

it has been a very wet day of thunderstorms here in Grenada. this is really significant for here as thunderstorms are a major rarity! Until today (when we've had at least 15), I had only ever seen 2. Lots of rain on this tropical island but very few storms 🙂 So even though I was planning on snorkeling today, watching and listening to it rain today has been lovely 😍
 
I just started watching a random movie on Netflix and discovered David Tennant is in it!!! 😍 :soexcited:

Just had a surprise phone interview for a technician position I applied for a few weeks back. It's at a veterinary ophthalmology office and the vet that owns it is supposed to be awesome. The job pays way better than any of the other offices in the area, so I'm really hoping I get it. I don't have a ton of tech experience, so it really just depends on who else applies for the job. My only foot up is that he consults with the zoo and with the wildlife clinic (where I work every summer), so at least I have a lot of exotics experience that may help me out.
