Here you go... these are the colors I got (I got a big tip pack and a fine tip pack)

😍

Bunnity: Nope! Piggy and I did not get along. Piggy had it out for me with its squishy, off-center head and really messed up umbilical vessels. Perhaps as time goes by, I'll look back and wonder what might have been . . . but I'll probably be too busy forgetting it all. :meanie:

I has pretty dry erase markers too! (Same ones, I think)
Between those, Staedtler highlighters and Sharpie pens (just bought my first pack last week and OMG love) , it almostttttt makes studying enjoyable.

I agree 🙂 I have had sharpies for a while now (big tip and thin tip) for making poster boards (I draw my own diagrams for classes and hang them all over my room and office so school surrounds me at all times), but I just bought a big 3' X 4' white board so I got to upgrade 🙂 hehehehe

I have a huge white board too in my dorm (hard to put away lol), and I absolutely love it. For everything. :] So yeah, got some dry-erase markers also..

Sometimes I think my boyfriend has more fun drawing/writing on it than I do hahaha... gotta love him

TT and I are up studying late (about 600 miles away from eachother) and she has me listening to some funky music....not bad...I approve....

Bassnectar. Not something my Top40 Radio ears are used to, lol

Oh!!! I don't drink any soda (not because I'm healthy... lamest reason ever coming in two seconds... the bubbles hurt my tongue. 🙁), so I find this less shocking.
Really?? That makes me sad.... I try and be anti-caffeine (dislike tea coffee, warm beverages in general.... cause I ALWAYS burn my tongue...) but I'm a chocoholic, so it's pretty difficult😛

Yay marker porn. Me gusta.
Si, si! Nerd moment: I tutored chem all through undergrad and finally broke down, buying a pack of dry erase markers cause they were always out of ink (ALWAYS!). I mean, at least it wasn't organic but I would always try and do equations or dimensional analysis.... Anyways - I had them in my philosophy class with all these whiteboards. There were never any markers so I of course produced my 5 from my backpack for my professor. My classmates just stared at me.

Bassnectar??? Oooooooh, I may have to listen. I love music :biglove:

They've been out touring lately. Saw them some time recently...all time runs together now...pretty awesome

Got to feed my baking addiction.... they're maple rum pumpkin cake with applebutter meringue buttercream ;D

Thanks 🙂 The iphone is so good for dolling up pictures!

I've recently started dating an amazing man.

And biochem is going great!

Life is good 😀

I'm grateful to be alive. I'm happy that the adcoms at Tufts still remember me and are so sweet when I telephone (even though they're flooded with apps, they encourage me to phone again). I'm blessed that I found the first person who would be worth waiting for romantically speaking (and actually doesn't want/intend to control me and make me their slave!). I'm thankful that I'm in love with veterinary medicine and there are thousands of other people who understand this rather than ridicule me for it.

Golly, when I think like an optimist, my inner pessimist struggles not to strangle it out of me.😀

Does anyone else ever feel like vet med is a calling and a religious/spiritual experience rather than a mere profession, let alone that dirty three letter 'j' word?

I added another year to my grand total. Almost didn't make it through the year. But I did. And I'm happier than I have been in a long time.

Bonus: I can come on SDN in my fits of insomnia and be happy that I'm awake rather than disappointed that I am.

:hardy: First year in like the past 4 that I don't mind being older 😉

I just learned how to castrate and dehorn calves! It was awesome!

😎

I also just talked to my bf and after I told him about it (he asked for it! he wanted to know!), he all of a sudden got very quiet..

🤣 :roflcopter:This is fantastic! I learned the same thing last year but I have yet to share the fun with a male of our species. I wonder if they'll enjoy hearing as much as I enjoy telling......😀

one of my classmates did an out of country spay/neuter trip and LOVED it. she now uses that knowledge and passion to mercilessly tease one of our guy friends in the class who is very shy and squeamish about that sort of stuff-it's hilarious!

My friend and I talked about the pig castrations we did before this while eating breakfast at a dining hall. The guys next to us seemed pretty happy to see us leave.

I LOVE having a job where I can leave a double batch of cookies in the break room and they will be gone by the end of the day. I have been baking so much more since I got this job and am really enjoying it! Kind of funny that I'm baking now with a full-time job than I was when I was unemployed.

Also, the head vet bought pizza today for a birthday! Yay for lunch!

I'm IACUC certified for canine blood draws! I can now go on the cool field trips where we get blood from working dogs for the docs' big genetics database. 😍 It's nice being licensed to poke things again . . .

Nice! Congratulations!

well, I'm quite possibly in love - with the cutest damn Irish Sport Horse you have ever seen!!

More to come. Anyone want to do a REALLY fast road trip to Oregon so I can actually meet this man of my dreams?

(PS - to those of you on Facebook - I have not posted any updates about pursuing this horse on purpose, so if you should so care to comment on my situation please do so here and not on FB....) 😉

So jealous. I love Irish sport horses so much.

He is the more draughtish looking type which is the only thing that makes me nervous. I'm used to scrawny TB necks! lol

Picture of possible horse. short hindquarters, low set neck are the two things that are iffy for me. He is four years old and had a soft start 3 and was just starting lateral movement when mom pulled him from training in April due to finances.

Have you seen other photos of him? Video perhaps? You can tell next to nothing with that picture other than he's a cutie. But conformation-wise, it's not fair at all to judge him from that picture. You need one with him standing squarely, with his head at its normal angle, with the side of his body directly facing the camera. Preferably shots of him from the front and back too. Poorly set-up shots like this can make all kind of things look funky that might be perfectly fine in "real life."

Good luck and I hope things work out with him!

I do - I have videos and pictures - just chose the one I think is the cutest to post, lol

His neck doesn't look all that low set... just relatively thick. Cute face fo SHO though. 🙂

I do think my heart is taking over for my head at this point. Gonna stop emailing the owner for a couple days to get my head sorted and make sure I'm actually interested in THIS horse and not just the fact that he's A horse. Maybe I need to realize that this is the sign that I'm ready to start looking for a horse but it doesn't have to be him? There are other free horses with better conformation and breeding, right? 😕

I really want to drive up and see him next weekend but I'm afraid of spending all that time and money and not liking him OR feeling like I should just like him ANYWAY because I drove to Oregon to see him.

Let the Pondering Begin.

Heylodeb, he is a cutie!

I'm actually kind of sad that this semester is almost over. Other than physics,:barf:I actually really like my classes, especially Wildlife Biology. Its so much more fun to go and walk around in the woods and learn how to catch animals (I got to hold wild birds😍), search for signs of them, and study them in the wild than it is to look at slides through a microscope or try to grow things. I also got my wildlife biology professor as my senior research advisor, and I'm actually kind of excited for my project because I really like the things we do in class and I think it will be fun. I think if the whole vet school thing doesn't work out, I might pursue a career as a wildlife biologist which is a relief because before this semester I was really worried about what I would do if it didn't work out because I wasn't really interested in of the other classes I've taken so far and I don't want to go into human medicine.

Adopting a kitten (well, she's probably a year and a half) later this week, pending her FIV/FeLV test. She's super cute and silly and a little goofy with her still-shaved belly. Really hoping now old grumpy cat tolerates her... :xf: Don't anticipate a problem, but, knowing how cats can be...

(On the downside, this is probably going to set back my plans to move out, but, kitten!!)

I turn 21 at midnight! I am driving home to Virginia tomorrow for break. I am excited to see my dogs, hamster, friends and boyfriend! Okay..maybe my family, too. 😀

Had an extremely successful and classy porter tasting event at my apartment last night! Had so much fun shopping at Beers of the World with my boyfriend. I LOVE microbrews!!! 😍 Also made a yummy stew, vegetable shepards pie, and roasted butternut squash. A perfect fall evening! 😀

Sounds like fun. Beers of the World is such a great place. My husband loves shopping there for beers to have on hand for the holidays while everyone is around. He also loves to make up 6-packs containing six different beers as gifts to bring when we go to parties.

Had a beautiful weekend with wonderful people and music and don't want real life aka work to bring me down. I want to set up a summer/winter home on Cloud 9. Can anyone blame me?

And it's almost Thanksgiving! Some free downtime to stalk SDN more 😉....WITHOUT GUILT/SHAME knowing you should be studying for a final. Or stop lazing on your computer and go for a much needed walk to enjoy nature at its finest (and it's not cold enough to see my breath 🙂)

I keep having dreams about adopting a kitten- something to the order of 3 dreams this month! And I don't usually dream! On the one hand- it's a sign, right? I should get a kitten immediately! On the other hand, I live in a dorm (no pets) and am insanely allergic to cats. One day, though...🙄

New tat (my 4th) and 3rd set of dermal anchors! Woo woo!

....and for those of you who will eventually demand pictures...

Spontaneously bought airline tickets to go visit my extended family over winter break  Maybe its time I start living my life instead of living a preassigned course.

Guess being forgetful can sometimes pay off - finally bought my plane ticket from Philly to Nashville for next weekend and the price had dropped to $80. With no connections. Sweeeeeet.

Along the same lines, I'm planning loads of mini trips. Huzzah!

I also miss dairy cows so much that it hurts my soul a bit. I miss smelling like I rolled around in a barn, having straw and manure coating my boots, heifers trying to knock me over, wearing five layers and still being cold, helping with LDAs, cow noses sniffing me, and my favorite, cow tongues and mouths trying to eat my hair....can't wait to play with some animals this Thanksgiving (primarily, my newest family member, Link!) :biglove:

The mammary tumors on the senior dog I adopted this summer came back benign! Big relief going into the holidays!
