My husband and I both played defense, which lead to many fights about who we should've been covering, why we stuck with the puck and not the man, etc., etc.

Now I have destroyed my knees to the point where I can't play, so I egg him on and pseudo-coach/team-mom the college team he is player/coach on.

And sometimes I get in fights with grown men in the stands. 😉
 
I was with a couple of goalies- one for 4 years. In my experience, they're a whole lot less cocky than the wingers. In fact, I might go so far as to say they're sweeter! Marc-Andre Fleury?? Ugh, he is just too adorable...

Five different veterinarians have told me that they think I made the best choice in choosing to attend Ohio. I feel so lucky to be starting this next chapter of my life at a school that is respected and produces excellent clinicians. I can't wait 😍

At my internship at a tiger sanctuary right now. We have a sick tiger with a hot spot that we're monitoring. I've been assigned the duty of sitting in the barn making sure he doesn't vomit his antibiotics. Why is this a rave? I get to sit in a barn with tigers while reading with a nice breeze coming through the doors. 😎

Fleury looked sooo cute getting beat with 0.9 seconds on the clock in OT this morning. What a comeback. :hardy:

Goal #2 was all Hartnell!! Huge win for the Flyers. Pens seemed to have more talent on the ice all day, but Philly showed heart digging out from 2-0. I have lots of respect for Pittsburgh and can't really pinpoint anything profound coming out of this game. Puck just bounced the right way for the orange and black it seemed. Bryz has finally got his game together. Oh yeah... don't f**k with Scotty Hartnell. He earned that big red bruise on his cheek today. Him smiling as Kunitz mashed his face into the ice was priceless. 😉

Really concerned about how I will focus on vet school during the NHL playoffs. Have a pleasant day. Philly thug out.

Was a really good snipe he had for sure, but he wouldn't have gotten that chance at all had Malkin not turned it over at the blue line. That's the peril of that play style. 😉

and yeah, if the Pens and Flyers would happen to meet in round 1 this year, I might actually fail next quarter.

I've sat in on a couple classes during my visits to Davis. Couldn't help but notice students surfing the internet, online shopping and posting on facebook during lecture. I think my mind would wander off even further and have the hockey games streaming live on my laptop, if I have the misfortune of being in class at the time. Or perhaps I can learn some discipline and try to embrace DVR. Playoffs can be a mixed blessing for sure... 😎

Now that all you kids that were bragging last week are headed back, it's my time to brag - it's now MY spring break. Beezies. I'm takin a few days in ol St. Louie, and then I'm gonna sleep in allllll week. Yuss.

Just to reiterate, Scott Hartnell drilled a shot from the top of the slot into a corner spot over Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury’s glove, with 0.9 seconds left on the clock, notching the latest overtime game-winning goal in club history. :laugh:

I am now the proud tenant of my very own apartment!!! It's bright, cheery, pet-friendly, clean.... and most of all mine! Somehow I made it from age 18-21 without renting an apartment or living at home. Lots of dorm rooms, working for accommodation, and hostels in my past.

I almost feel like a grown-up 🙂

... and now I'm going to collect my bunny rabbit in time for Easter!

Got another deferment for my federal student loans for undergrad. There is no way I would be able to pay those, my private student loans, my other bills and still save money for moving to vet school.

The next deferment/forebearance I request will be because I am actually IN vet school!!!! 😀

I will also chime in and say F the Flyers. Hartnell never would have scored if Crosby didn't give up. One of the first things you learn is PLAY UNTIL THE WHISTLE. And then the Pens go and play until there are 2 seconds on the clock!

My rave: hubby worked late tonight, but came home with red wine, a pizza, and a movie I've been wanting to see! Guess I'll study for that cell phys exam tomorrow...

After five nights at SAVMA symposium, I get to sleep in my own bed tonight 😍 No more hard floors, lumpy futons or sharing a bed with blanket hogs!

Had an absolute blast, but its so nice to be home with my pups and relaxing- although "clingy" does not even begin to describe them at the moment! Pathetically needy, maybe 🙂

And, as another rave: grand total of this trip (not including travel) is less than $70. Woohoo! A LOT less than I was expecting to spend.

Uncle Sam says I'm so poor not only do I get all my taxes back, I get 550 buckaroos extra! This plus grants and scholarships gets me like $9k mon mons I didn't expect. Wooooooooohooooooooo!!!! Now I can get my bf a bday present 🙂 It's coming up and I was getting worried because my checkings account was running sooo low.
 
Spent most of the day coughing out my lungs...I know this should be a rant but

I got a wonderful sick day off of work (finally) and after some really good naps I am starting to actually feel a little bit better. At least my chest isn't killing me anymore.

How many sick days do you have left? Use them all up. You need the break. You work too hard. How bout personal days? And vacation days? Use them ALL!
