I'm only getting like medium bucks back because my undergrad where I worked part-time in the spring would not take anything out (and, yes, I asked and tried to get them to). But, yay for money and positive bank accounts!

SOV, I should let you in on the 'secret' about that. I am a volunteer tax preparer, and I can assure you that even if you have no income and pay no taxes you can still get a whopping refund! But it would involve increasing the number of dependents you have...🙄

I'm guessing it's custom and you can't just link to an image on the website or using google image search?

In that case, printscrn and paste into Paint like cowgirla said, or use the 'Snipping Tool' if you have windows and that will allow you to save in whatever format you want.

I don't know much about pigs, but I was looking after a farm once and went to feed the pig which I thought was cool because he'd come for scratches and squeel and wag his little tail.

Then, one day I went into his pen to get his bowl, and he was so excited to be fed he bit me on the back of the calf and left a sandy muddy mouth print on my jeans. Then I was scared of him because I heard one of the best ways to discard a murdered body is to feed it to pigs. My boyfriend further scared me by saying "don't fall and get knocked out in that pen, he'll probably eat you while you're unconscious".

Now I don't know what to think of pigs. Though, this pig was a wild caught ferral pig now domesticated.

I'm still slightly scared of it.
 
I used to love pigs, then I raised 4.:lame: Four 200 lb pigs attacking me for a pail of goat's milk=lots of milk in my rubber boots. They are fun to watch, though, especially when they get in their little fights with each other. Lots of squealing and bickering.
 
Lease is signed for next year, $100 cheaper than I thought it'd be and we're first on the waitlist for a fully renovated apartment.

Fiance was contacted by a potential employer for next year.

My mommy sent me Catching Fire. <3

So I posted in the RANT thread about how cranky I was about my exam this morning, and how completely not motivated I was...

Since then, I've done ALL the dishes, ALL the laundry, cleaned out my side of the giant bedroom closet, took six (SIX!!) bags of clothes to Goodwill, one bag to the local consignment shop, and listed 18 suits on eBay. I also scooped the cat poop, but who needs a cherry on top of that already awesome sundae?!

Now it's 2am and I'm making lists. Crazy "Oh crap, we're moving in two months!" mode has officially set in.

I renovated my foster snake's tank... he was on newspaper with an upside down plastic hide. I think it's an improvement. 😀 He hasn't stopped crawling and burrowing in it yet, so I think he thinks so, too.

I also got a bigger tank for my grown-up betta and bought an ugly betta for my old tank. :laugh: I think he'll grow up prettier, but he looks like a female right now he's so wimpy. He was way at the bottom of the rack at petsmart, poor guy.

Trilt--nice looking tank. Is your betta a crown tail? He'll look like he'll marble up nicely as he ages. I'm sure he'll look really pretty in a few months.
 
PhD thesis defense date set for July 25th!!!! 😀

So excited that it's almost finally over and I have about a month in between defending and starting vet school.

He is a crown tail! I'm 50/50 on whether I think he'll be gorgeous or just still rather ugly when he gets bigger, haha. My other boy who's a year and a half or so old went from really boring, dull red to a gorgeous deep red with blue accents, so here's hoping I'll have similar luck with the newbie.

My nickname since I was 11 has been Piggy 😳 (not bc I'm fat I swear 😉). Not sure, I've just always loved them. I have every stupid pig gift you could ever imagine, and usually multiples of each lol. I literally asked people to stop with the pigs!!! 😱 I raised them in high school for FFA and 4H and I have always wanted a pot-bellied pig. Each time I go to get one, I have something new happening in my life that wouldn't be best for the little guy/gal. So I made myself the promise that when I graduate from vet school one day (wahoo only 4 years now 😀) that I will get it as a gift to myself 🙂. The BF tried to adopt one for me for getting IN to vet school and I told him he was effing insane if he thought I had time for that shiz in vet school :laugh:.

Bahahaha awww that's so cute. And weird because my old roommate is obsessed with pigs too. She has been dying to get one of those micro mini pigs.
 
Got approved for a loan on my very first truck today!!!
1997 F250 Powerstroke Turbo Diesel with a tow package 🙂

Nothing fancy but it is one ginormous step closer to having a truck AND trailer so my horse and I can go on adventures without begging and pleading other people! (often unsuccessfully)

Couple interesting things about this photo: This truck was the truck that picked up my mare Trinity (who some of you remembered was in a terrible accident last summer and had to be euth'd) when she came home the first time.....even more interesting: See that house in the background? Yeah - it burned to the ground about 3 days ago!!! Everyone inside got out ok....

I just went and read the Con Artists thread on the Veterinary Forums. I just want to say:
BRAVO TO MY FELLOW VETERINARY FIELD "CON ARTISTS"!!!!!!:highfive:
Way to school that know-nothing troll!!! At first I was so pissed, but then all of you who commented were so intelligent, well-informed and well-spoken that you put that wiener in his place and mostly I was embarrassed for this person. It was his own ignorance and arrogance (because as PRE-pharmacy student I'm sure he knows everything about prescription medications) that landed him in the situation he's in. And his own pig-headedness that made him stick to his guns and sound even more ignorant than before. (Just an assumption that it's a male.)

Anywho, I am proud to call you my future colleagues. You handled that douche very well. AND WITH FACTS AND LOGIC!!! :clap:

VERY VERY AWESOME!!! I love older trucks! I would still have my baby if my douchey ex bf wouldn't have stolen it at 4am and totalled it into a tree 😡. I still miss my cool old truck 🙁 Congrats on yours, it's nice!!! Enjoy your new adventures!😀

Oh, and he said he "just hadn't had time to change his pre-pharm status, but that [he] was really in [his] 3rd year"🙄
 
Time to be stupid, but not to change the status? Yeah, right. And if he was in his third year, he should know even more than a pre-pharm, so it just made him look even stupider o say that. Lol
 
Oh gosh I must have missed it when he said that. LOL that does make him look even more stupid! He can't be bothered to take 30 seconds to change his status but he can sit and troll a thread for as long as he did? I'm not buying it. LOL loser ..... 😀
 
I'm still in bed, with a fresh cup of warm coffee, cuddling with my kitty and watching tv on my computer, while half-heartedly reviewing biochem slides. 😍
Just worked 10 10+-hour days (and we're currently short-staffed) out of the last 11 and it's raining out, but at least everything is now green and in bloom!
