I have not been online that much lately. Since my vet school rejection, I have been busy finishing up classes and having the time of my life. That guy I met on an online dating site? I am convinced we are soul mates. I have never been this comfortable with somebody so soon and he treats me very well. 😀. I have been having sooo much fun getting to know him. Since the bus strike was lifted, I have also been getting out more with my friends before exams hit.

I have decided to stay in the city I am in now, rather than gain residency in a province that will slightly increase my chances of getting into vet school. There are better job prospects here, my friends are here and the man is only an hour away. After grades come out, I am going to work on improving my GRE for the next application cycle and work on paying down the debt I racked up. If I am still unsuccessful, I think I may go the Masters route and upgrade for vet school while I do that.

I am very happy right with life right now. I cannot wait to stop living with my ex (haha), find a place to live and find a job.

I'm feeling much better today. Chem lab only took an hour, my back doesn't hurt very much and I'm finally going to see the Hunger Games tonight. Foal/yearling time and some puppy time tomorrow. And only one quiz to study for. I'm gonna make this a great weekend!

And our business is getting better. My bf has a ton of work and while it's sad that I don't get to see him this week and probably not next week either, at least we're finally going somewhere with this. 🙂
 
RAVE: First time in my whole life I haven't wasted something I bought at the grocery store!!!!! Best feeling ever! 😀 I have such a bad habit of spending hundreds and throwing it all away a week later!
Yay for silly accomplishments!

I have this problem sometimes too. I try to use it all, but it is hard when you don't have time to cook!

Husband is out of town, I'm in pj's on the couch with the cats drinking a beer and getting ready to watch the Pens game. Life is pretty darn good right now!

I'm so jealous! I'm still trying to find mine, but don't know where it is. Could be in the various boxes in our US house, in a box in our German house, or at my dad's or grandparents houses. I had the neon green one! 😍
 
My dog has four legs again 😍
No ST swelling, no pain when I manipulate the joint. And she feels well enough to have rolled in something stinky in the yard this morning- aka, she's back to normal.

May be a while before I decide to start throwing tennis balls to her again though. I keep telling her I cant afford to fix her if she breaks and she's still her usual crazy self!

How is your yard big enough to contain stinky things for her to roll in? It's not like she has a pasture out there... :meanie:
 
I just got a full-time tech position after graduation! And hopefully will be shadowing at an equine clinic and the zoo hospital on my days off. 😀
 
It's been over a year in planning and hard work, but my travel women's ice hockey team has finally managed to get enough women hockey players together to start a 3v3 crossice all women's league once a week. We got prime time ice time (early evening on Saturdays) at a discount from the rink, and have new women contacting us all the time to join!

we put teams together to keep them balanced between the upper tier and lower tier players, and my team decided on our team name being Team Mockingjay, and we'll be buying black practice jerseys with the gold Mockingjay logo from Hunger Games. 😀

I've talked about this guide dog poodle before where I was so sad because I most likely wouldn't get to see her anymore.. A girl decided to take her in for training and is letting me have her one day every week! I'm so excited! 😍

I got the Harry Potter books on Kindle but the part I am most happy about is that I was able to get the British versions even though I live in the United states 😀 😍 thank you person on amazon who posted a way around the system 🙂
 
Had an epiphany today. I was telling my bf about how when there was a free pizza lunch at school, I was in the last third of the line and realized that the number of pizza boxes was dwindling. So when I finally got to the front of the line, I looked back and discerned that there's clearly not enough for everyone. I was super hungry, but only took one slice...

At this point in my storytelling, my bf interrupted and went "well that's stupid, cause that just means one more person behind you would get two slices."

I was going to finish my story with how I shoulda packed a snack because I was starving for the rest of the day, but then realized that he was absolutely right. A ton of people behind me took two slices until it did run out, and a bunch of people were left with nothing at all. B****es next time I take two slices!

How is that a rave? Well cause now I have justification to disregard the peeps behind me and fill myself up.

I got to work super early, which means I can leave early! It is almost like having the day off!

I would add a little bit more pineapple and a little less ginger. It was very gingery. Also, do the pineapple juice instead of water for a sweeter smoothie. Yum! 👍
