I love camping. I love beer. There are waterfalls and caverns and beavers. I'm a happy girl.

The trails are not well marked at all. Got a little turned around on one trail due to lack of trail markers but it was so pretty I didn't even mind all that much!

Ugh my BF always goes "wah wah wa f****ing wah" when someone is talking and he doesn't want to listen! I HATE that lol. Sorry, but the peanuts thing reminded me of it 😳

Oh my gosh. So jealous. That looks so nice.

I'm super excited that I'm going to be dog-sitting for another tech end of June and her dog loves to go running and hiking, which will be really nice and great encouragement to get me running. Plus, great excuse to go hike in the park I drive through every day but never get to go hike in.

Haha he's just joking when he does THAT. He's not THAT big of a douche lol. But sometimes, yes he's a turd... Possibly grade b though. 😉
He has his issues but I only share the crappy stuff so i can understand people thinking that. He's great most of the time, honestly. He has been pretty awesome since I moved back home actually. And no, I'm not a little, naive, stupid thing. Things have changed and not fallen backwards even one step :fingerscrossed: My birthday is Friday. We'll see how much I still like him after that. 😉
 
I might get credit with a special topics class for the practicum I'm doing here in Germany right now. Only like an hour, but still. Better than nothing at all!

And my advisor asked if I want to help a few days with research next semester. If we combine it with what I did to help him last semester, I can get credit for that, too!

My rave is similar: My mom should be signing the contract to buy the house we want in a few days. We had inspections the day before I flew to Germany and I should be moving in around June 20th. 🙂

Awesome. I know how exciting that is. We arranged all mine about a month ago, but it's hard doing things like that long distance. It's so nice to have a place to live next year. I'm excited for everyone that's living where they want to!:soexcited::highfive:

Yeah we've had it arranged for about 2 months now too, but we were sitting on the waiting list 🙁. We were first on the waiting list with only one current tenant left to decide whether they were staying or going.:scared: Not only did we get a place at the complex we wanted, we literally got the exact apartment we wanted. This one is bigger, has an extra bathroom, all wood flooring, a brand new kitchen and is CHEAPER than the ones with only 1 bathroom. They called back about 10 minutes later to say that since we would be taking over someone's lease directly (long story), that we got the rate from the year THEY began the lease, and so it is $30 cheaper a month than anyone else is paying! 👍 I had completely given up hope and was ready to take one of the other apartments when they called today!! :clap: I compared my excitement to getting into vet school... and then realized that might be a slight exaggeration. I didn't bawl like an idiot this time 😳

Thanks guys... another rave. My best buddy at work just brought me two bags of my favorite snack (Kettle Popcorners 😍) for my birthday. He even wrapped them 😀. He's the best! 👍
 
One of these is mine!!!!! Graduation present from the parentals!!!!!! They're a week old so I won't have him for awhile, but soooooo excited.

I'm getting a puppy tomorrow - Redbone/Plott Hound mix. Wahoo!

Trying to come up with names that the bf and I can agree on. So far Scar and Mufasa are at the top of the list (it is a boy), but I like Cabernet, and we can call him Cabbie. Any red-themed names that aren't human or common?

One of my dog's registered name includes Hot Tamale (b/c she is "red")!

I always think of "Copper" from the Disney movie The Fox and the Hound lol... and he's a hound dog! :idea: 👍

Yay for all these puppies!!

I have finally chosen first dance and brother-sister music for the wedding. PUMPED. Also, we are having sort of a non-traditional song at some point, but I can't reveal it because there are people who scour SDN who will be attending 😉 The only song I didn't have trouble choosing was the cake-cutting song.

I had the world's best Rhodesian Ridgeback named Copper. He lived a good long life and I miss him! (even though he had to listen to Fox and the Hound quotes his entire life!)
 
Really cool day at work,

Did a necropsy on a cat that was euthanized earlier in the day with severely messed up kidneys (total 'architectural' damage, didn't even look like a kidney anymore, just a bubbly mass). The Dr. let me handle and remove the kidneys and then afterwards asked me if I wanted to sew the cat up, UM YES! 😀

Later we got a dog in that had mysterious bleeding, and we found microfilaria on a blood smear, bad news for the dog but a really cool thing to see the worms wiggling around in the blood on the slide!

It's not a Cake song, but I think it fits our personalities more. I'll let you know 🙂
 
Well I totally have to regroup now because the puppy is a female. I'm getting it from the brother-in-law of one of the vets I work for. Apparently he can't tell the difference, or forgot when he said it was a boy. I'm actually happier about that, because I wanted a female to begin with but was told it was a boy.

So, SDNers... female names associated with red things - uncommon, non-human names. (NO Ginger, Rosie, etc)

How sad is it that I instantly thought, "Female, red... Period!" Yeah, okay.

How about Scarlet? Foxy, Amber, Ruby?

You could also consider something from another language or culture - Cheyenne? Aha, Roja?

Name her Rubor and call her Ruby for short. :d

Carmine, Vermillion, Cinnamon. Henna? Auburn. Sangria.

I have a friend with a dog named Bacardi.

scb44f--Isn't is great to have wedding plans fall into place. I made some of the final payments yesterday. I don't have a whole lot more to do before the wedding, not that I have a whole lot more time (June 2). But I'm getting really excited!! And a little nervous. Still have to write my vows.

Yes, it's fabulous to have all this stuff done. I can't wait to enjoy it all next week! We are taking the easy way out and not writing vows though 😛
