I have been saving all my rejection/waitlist letters from 3 cycles of application. Tonight, I am using all that paper to light my grill and make tasty, tasty burgers of success. I am probably more excited about this than I should be. Also, burgers! 😀

Temporarily fostering the cutest little black and white semi-feral kitten. Must. Not. Get. Attached.

But damn if she isn't laying across my foot purring up a storm and batting at the pages of the book I'm reading. I took her because I've got lots of free time to socialize for the next week - other than a dislike of being reached for / grabbed, she seems to be doing just fine so far 😍

Noelle thinks its a playmate and is all upset that I won't let her play with kitty. I don't think Chevy has figured out where the meowing noises are coming from yet- I've got her crated in the guest room

I moved in to my first big girl apartment (off campus) today!!!:soexcited: I get to pay rent and utilities and internet and everything!........wait.

lol on the bright side it means I finally got to bring my puppies with me!!! They seem to have taken to the new place pretty well and I'm just so happy to have them with me!!!:biglove:😍

Done with my ICU night rotation! I get the day off to 'transition' and start ICU days tomorrow 🙂
 
Puppy will make cuddles with me when she is tired! yay!!!
 
We were planning to move to Philly in the middle of June to have some time to explore and have fun in the city before I disappear into the black hole that is the first year of vet school.

Just got a call from our landlord and the apartment will be ready this Friday! We can start bringing little things down, get the cats acclimated, etc., and we will be moving everything in two weeks early!

Best part? They're not charging us rent for the extra time! Woohoo!

Anywhere is better than this city that calls itself a city but really isn't even close to being a city. It's also full of mosquitoes, humidity, and stink. Definitely ready for some different stink.

I have a friend here who was in Trenton for a long time. Philly was a HUGE improvement for her.
 
I had a great Tae Kwon Do workout in Valley Forge Park on Sunday . . . and now my sunburn looks totally awesome over my latest bruises. :laugh:

I am so jealous. I really miss Tae Kwon Do. It was such a great stress relief, if the soon-to-be-hubby finds a decent job and we have money coming in, we're going to find a place to start up while I'm in vet school. Fun fact: I met said fiance at Tae Kwon Do. He was one of the instructors, though he's only 6 months older than me. We were 13/14 when we met.

My rave: I finished writing my wedding vows. Well almost. I just have to find a stupid notebook in my packed boxes of stuff. I thought I meant to leave it out. I think we're going to keep them a surprise from our families. Definitely have shared with one another though. I don't want to be completely surprised by what he says.

Awesome, Dyachei!

Found out this morning that the baker/decorator who is making my wedding and groom's cake for this Saturday had no record of me coming in. He said he could still do it, so I met with him again to talk details. Turns out he was working 80 hour weeks trying to do graduation cakes, so I really think it was an honest mistake. Since I was patient and didn't yell at him like my mom told me I should, he cut us a deal on the price, and now the wedding cake is going to look way different than the original design, so everyone will be surprised now. Also, he is playing with the design on my groom's cake, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what he comes up with!
 
Sucks that he forgot about your cake, but yay for getting a deal. As long as he's a good decorator and doesn't end up on cake wrecks I'm sure you'll be happy. 🙂

Aww. It's nice to see that good things happen to good people. You have to to post the cake pictures when they're done. 🙂
 
My 4 and a half year old phone broken down completely last night (like, would turn on and off but the screen didn't show anything, so really can't do anything...), so I got a new fancy-shmancy smart phone today. Yay!

What are the games I need? Words with Friends is the scrabble one, right?

I feel like I'm way more excited about this than I should be.
