It totes was! Guy was super dreamy with the most gorgeous smile. Equally as nerdy, super smart but not conceited, and his accent was an added bonus. And best of all, unlike my last two exes, has an emotional intelligence greater than that of a caveman. I've decided that I deserve sweetness and sensitivity in my life.

This makes me happy!!! You deserve it indeed. 👍

I managed to play in 3 out of 4 games in the hockey tournament that my team runs despite being on a really demanding clinical rotation where everyone of my classmates that I mentioned it to beforehand was really negative about my chances of being able to play.

We won the championship. And I was still able to go in this weekend and help my rotationmates with their inpatients. 😀

I just found out that the entomology department at my university offers a graduate minor. This must be new-ish.

Now I'm hoping that an MPH will be an eligible Master's program and that the credits I already have that count toward my GPA will count toward this minor. If so I could potentially be 7/10 of the way there. It just depends though. I have some classes that are typically undergrad, but for whatever reason they were factored into my graduate GPA. They are not listed in the "electives" for the minor so I'm skeptical, but really hopeful that substitutions can be made. 🙂

Rabbits are actually surprisingly decent fighters... you know, when they're not fleeing.

My rabbit has only been around one cat in her life, but she was thoroughly fascinated by him.

One of my rabbits used to try to mate with my cats. Poor cats were terrified of him.

This rabbit has no fear! My cat is used to being around rabbits because I used to raise/show them. I had about 60 (yeah..I'm a crazy rabbit lady) and would let them roam around the basement with her. She wont put up with his crap though. If he tries to mate her (which he has thought about...🙄), she'll give him a good swat/hiss.

I survived small animal ER (including over nights) for two weeks. Now just two more weeks of large animal overnights and I can go back to a normal schedule.

I just added a vertebrate morphology lab to my schedule, which means cat and shark dissections! I've only ever gotten to dissect fetal pigs before, so I'm pretty excited. Trying not to think about the fact that I'll be taking 18 credits and I'll have two labs on one day (physics is the other one 🙁 ).

I took a similar class in undergrad as a zoology major. Beware......shark juice smell is the worst and it doesn't come out of anything. The cat was awesome. 👍

I was afraid of that...I have this lab 10 minutes before another class, I'll probably end up smelling like shark I'm so excited!

At OSU it's called "Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy" and they alternate between cats and bunnies (for the representative mammal, a shark and newt? for other comparisons).

My partner and I had a huge New Zealand rabbit that I dubbed "Big Red."

It was a terminology heavy class, but very enjoyable... except maybe for the fascia scraping.

I don't know how I did it, ha! I actually enjoyed Organic. Now, I loathed general chemistry and did much worse in it. I actually enjoyed biochem too. Wow, total nerd alert. I should go now....

I'm about 10 days into a food trial with my pup, and I really feel like I've been noticing some improvements even in the last couple of days. He doesn't have those absolutely frantic bouts of itchiness anymore, which would sometimes be so intense that they'd keep me up at night. I even love the way his bowel movements are looking; nice and small/firm. He's also not eating nearly as much grass as he used to...We've always had issues with dingleberries bahaha. Maybe I'm imagining things a bit too much, but I will certainly remain hopeful for the next 7 weeks or so 🙂
It's been a pretty smooth ride for the two of us so far, since I'm not currently living with anyone (although my neighbor did feed him a blackberry the other day, despite my constant reminders that he can't have anything other than what the vet Rx'd...🙄 arg, old folks!).

Met my bunny's new vet a couple days ago (his old one retired and she was the only one at that clinic that did rabbits and when he started going to his new one I was away at school so my dad took him to a new place) and I loved it there! I'm not usually a super outgoing or small tally person but the receptionists, assistants, and techs were all so sweet and it was so easy to talk to them and they were all so interested in my bunny (and so many of them own rabbits too! very surprising to me) I was already thinking about asking to shadow when I come home on break next, but then I met the vet and chickened out haha. She seemed nice enough I guess but not very talkative at all (I also only saw her for like 5 minutes though when she did a quick exam on his eyes before taking him in back and then the assistant brought him back and explained his medications). It definitely doesn't make her a bad vet at all (i actually think she's great and definitely helped a lot last time and my dad was so impressed how attentive whe was to my bunny) but probably someone I wouldn't be the best at shadowing. I might see if I get on with the other vets (or ask anyway and if she says yes we might get on better than if it was a client setting) better since I honestly loved it there so much!

I was just in general so impressed with the clinic and the staff there! They've been calling up every few days to check in on him (and he also has his check up visit in a couple weeks) and they're just so attentive! They apparently did this last time he was sick too. So mini rant of me being a chicken about shadowing but overall a rave of how much I love it there haha
