Got back today from an amazing weekend up north. Cousin had a wedding, then spent the rest of yesterday and today with the boyfriend and family watching football. On the other hand, I got absolutely nothing done. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Glad I'm working tonight, because I have a stack of papers nearly an inch thick of coursework to catch up on. -sigh-

Yeeee finally got to go underwater with the scuba gear today! At first I was a little paranoid and took a million breathes a minute but after getting the hang of it it was pretty darn cool. But I'll stick with the pool for now 😉

AH! I finished my second pool session this past weekend, next we move to the open water and I'm so scared! I won't be able to just stand up anymore if I don't know what's going on or if I start freaking out haha

just remember depth is only a number!
Actually, I had a lot of problems moving from the pool to open water--couldn't equalize past a certain depth (deeper than the pool, obviously).

Man we won't be able to go the deep blue till our final in December (good thing our water is warm year round!) I totally freaked out at first when I first started practicing my mask clear but finally got the hang of it after 10 attempts haha

well yes, clearly there are physiologic differences, but a lot of new divers get really hung up on the number, and tend to mentally psych themselves out because of that fixation.

I had trouble with that too haha, I kept getting water up my nose!

Did some actual horse-back riding last night for the first time in a few years....wowza am I sore today! But it was totally worth it. I love my family's standardbreds, but sitting behind them is just not the same as being up top 🙂

I can finally start running again. Today will be my first time in a few weeks. Excited to be able to blow off some much built up steam.

I had a great time at my undergrad's homecoming!!! It was the least stressed out I've been at that school in my 5 homecomings there 😉

Might have gotten an awesome donation for our Josh Project fundraiser! Even if I didn't, I'm really proud of myself for asking in the first place.

Got half of my clinic schedule released!!! I LOVE IT!!!! I couldn't haven't designed it better, seriously. SQUEE!!!!

Pharmacology exam is over, fall break starts after classes tomorrow, and tonight I'm going to attempt to make a vanilla Coke cake and play games with my friends. 😀

For the first time ever, my dog did not find some disgusting crap to roll in after his bath! Yay!

Got a new computer finally!! 🙂 It was a gift from my parents, I'm so lucky. My last one was really on it's last legs, it's going to take a little while to get used to the fact that I don't hear a loud fan every time I use my laptop.

- getting vet school application submitted and now waiting game starts.
- have a husband being supportive.
- have good friends being supportive while I bombarded them GRE words so I can remember...

We had an actual slow-ish day at work today for the first time in a few weeks. And Friday I have a rare day off to go to a wedding! I also had a client hug me today for the first time, although sadly it was because we euthanized her guinea pig.

I finally heard back from a small zoo I wanted to volunteer for!

I get to help them out with an event this Saturday. 😍

You know, I was really worrying that they wouldn't contact me back. I've kept telling them I was available for events and they just never got back to me until this morning.

Our 10-noon class got cancelled. I am now sitting at home, cuddling my cats, watching netflix. I should be tackling the massive number of emails I have to send, especially since I now have to find 7 public health lecturers for savma symposium instead of 3 and only have about a month left to get it done. But somehow, I really don't care right now.

My new dog - just finalised adoption tonight!!!

Enjoying maternity leave, snuggled on the couch watching Robin Hood Men in Tights on a rainy day. All I need now is an extra me to make me hot chocolate so I don't have to get up.

Scheduled two externships and working on a third. Also have an amazing fall break planned. Two days with my bestie and then a week of learning all about companion exotic mammals.
