Toddler Bats held in his diarrhea until potty time ❤️ Now, I truly never need to watch diarrhea expelled into a toilet ever again. But little dude is trying.

I can't tell you that because I've already spent more on club sweaters than all of my first year supplies combined 💀

No regrets though. I love them and figure if I get them now then I have 4 full years to wear them 😅

If you see yourself wearing it, by all means. I spent a lot on UoICVM merch and wore it all the time throughout school. I'd still be wearing some of it today if I hadn't outgrown it ( 😒 ). Now it just sits in a box in my house because I feel weird donating it

I made a quilt with all the college t shirts I couldn't/ wouldnt wear anymore 😅

I've also been known to recycle the design of a worn out shirt/sweater onto another with a sewing machine 👀

So far I have a U of M sweatshirt and a U of M CVM sweatshirt and that's it. They just took the design I wanted down but they have some good new ones!
 
YALL. I ***love*** merch ❤️ I bought a **** ton of school swag for high school, college, and vet school. I'm wearing a U of I sweatshirt right now at work! I have enough swag between college and vet school to make two king sized t shirt quilts double sided.

Zero regrets.

I wouldn't buy figs as a brand period cause I think they're over priced. My mandalas are half the cost and have been nearly flawless for 3 years.

I agree Figs are overpriced BUT they have the U's logo embroidered on them (I would only buy a top, I have matching pants for either color)......

I also love my mandalas, but my favorites have actually been these Grey's Anatomy Evolve Stretch. Liquid rolls right off and pet fur never sticks. I have three pairs and I want more.

also my wallet has been saved by me simply not liking any of the merch that has rolled out— my mentality is “I will get a free t-shirt eventually” and I have gotten several from my schools.
 
This weekend my dad was using the temperature sensitive silhouette-to-skeleton vet med mug I gave him 13 years ago. They were from a path club fundraiser I organized back in 2013. The black animal stickers that used to be heat sensitive and fade away to reveal the skeletons underneath when hot coffee was added stopped working years ago, but it’s still his favorite mug.

Buy the merch. But only the stuff you like.

I love Greys Anatomy scrubs too! It's what my work carries. We get 150/yr for uniform stuff, so I generally get greys stuff.

You can get a really decent basic sewing machine for like $150, probably even less if there’s Black Friday deals. It’s one of those things that I never used to need, but now that I have one, it’s kinda handy. I sewed up a hole in the seam of some sweatpants today.

But I guess your life is about to get extra busy with baby…maybe not an ideal time for getting new hobbies.
 
I used Project Repat to make my high school t shirts into a blanket! It's less so a traditional quilt and more so a fleece blanket with one side having all my t shirts sewn onto it. They were super affordable and the blanket turned out really cute - which I appreciated as a non-sewing individual. I am planning on going back to them to get my undergrad shirts made into a blanket in the future!

My first sewing machine was a used $40 one from the 60s, came with its own cute table. I still use it for some things. And now that I know I love sewing, my most recent fancy one was like $3k 😅

the pants are super TTS, but the shirts??? if you have any boobage at all, size up twice. i love the fabric alotttt.

My solid metal 1960s Singer 301 is by far the best machine I own. Unfortunately it only does straight stitching, or I would never need another machine 😅

I have a 603! It’s the last Singer series with all metal gears. Won’t sew through as much stuff as a 301, but that’s what the new machine is for.

Yeah, it’s a slippery slope! I have a heavy duty cylinder arm leather sewing machine that was about $3,000 but it was one of the better investments I have made and has really widened the things I’m able to make. Hand sewing leather is an art but the machine is SO nice to have. But then I needed a fabric machine for bag liners, and then other equipment…
 
I am eventually inheriting my sorta-grandmother-in-law's antique sewing machine from somewhere in the 1910-1920s and I can't wait. She is giving it to me before she dies lol I just don't know when. I'm jealous of you guys' 60s singers because my singer is a POS and I love her German sewing machine from the 80s that she gave to my partner. I've been wanting to get into quilting lately but I already have 15,000 creative hobbies and this is just making me want to moreeeeeee

I yearn for the vintage sewing machine. The plus side is when I don't want to deal with my crappy machine I get a lot of hand sewing practice which I feel is an invaluable skill to have. Silver lining!

Lol for real. it's an addicting watch the first time you watch it, but After McDreamy dies they really lose the plot and it became a much more obvious soap opera. It also went down a few notches after Christina left.

I could not watch after Derek died, it PMO so badly.
 
We got our block 3 scores back today and I was so psyched I actually kinda killed it bc I was so sure I failed after taking it. I thought all of the horse material (40 questions of the exam) was so difficult

I don't think I could ever be a large animal vet. Small animal emergency here I come
