RB,

I've read some of your posts re: rotations in Michigan; could you please give me your two cents on programs at Genessys, Mt. Clemens, and Botsford. I'm quite interested in Emergency Med now. If memory serves me right, that's you're in an ACGME ER residency now.

Any comments are welcomed.

I never rotated at Gen. A good friend of mine is a resident there and he really likes the place. Mt. Clem and Botsford...I did ENT at and they were both pretty good hospitals. I liked Botsford slightly more...I did my EM rotation at Pontiac and thought it was a great rotation...Hands on and they will let you (med student) do most things...
I never inquired about the various osteopathic EM programs as I only applied to ACGME programs. I am a first year EM resident at Univ of IL-Peoria.... great program....when people tell you that you have to rotate at a particular hospital to have a chance, that is not true in the ACGME side...I never did any rotations in IL...and got alot of interviews from other programs that I never rotated at...Just do a good job, keep your board score high, get good evaluations....and you have pretty much 100% chane of matching.....

RB,

Thanks for your advice and comments.
