Is the topscore reading comprehension section the same level of difficulty as the real dat? I saw someone got a high score in topscore, but 5 points lower in the real dat. Any difference in RC between topscore and real dat? What about kaplan and real dat?

I thought they were at the same level of difficulty. The questions are very factual -- not a whole lot to infer. If the answer isn't immediately obvious, you're thinking too hard or looking at the wrong paragraph. I got a 22-23 on the Topscore exams and a 27 on the real DAT.

The lower DAT score may be due to nerves. It's hard to read when you're jumpy or nervous. That's the only reasonable explanation I can think of at the moment. The DAT RC is really quite comparable to the Topscore RC, in my opinion.

Indeed, they two are very similar. The best advice I can give it to remain absurdly focused during the entire RC section. It's this focus that will translate into high scores.

Topscore-not a bad representation of the real thing!

I agree. I know I am guilty of over analyzing questions (what's the author's main intent) and am sure this is why I missed a few. For the most part they are straight forward, though not exactly word for word like Topscore.
