RCSI deferral?

Anyone know if it's possible to defer an admission at the GEP program at RCSI for one year? This has come up before on these forums and there were mixed views so I am hoping someone can clarify this once and for all.

If yes, what are the reasons for which deferrals are granted?

On my acceptance package it said that you can not defer this acceptance for any reason. So, I would assume you couldn't. What is your reason for wanting to? If you don't mind me asking.
