I applied last year (complete mid-late Aug for MD and in Jan for DO) to 26 MD and 2 DO. Only 1 DO II which was a WL.

Stats are 3.57 GPA and 513 MCAT. Have all the boxes checked (clinical work, clinical and nonclinical volunteering, shadowing, research, leadership) -- points of emphasis are extensive clinical work and unique involvement/work with a particular immigrant demographic. Have revised and improved PS and activities, new clinical job, and new strong rec. Submitted today.

Rhode Island. I was also very surprised at the lack of interviews. Last cycle I applies to tufts, dartmouth, vermont, umass, uconn, quinnipiac, brown, suny downstate, stony brook, nymc, hofstra, albany, rutgers nj, rutgers rwj, seton hall, nova MD, temple, drexel, jefferson, commonwealth, penn state, gwash, gtown, wake forest, u so cal, evms, and vcu.

You have a good list but remove UCSF which is a far reach. I suggest adding these schools:
Vermont
Penn State
Jefferson
George Washington
West Virginia
NOVA MD
Oakland Beaumont
Western Michigan
St. Louis
Creighton
California University (new school)
Kaiser (when it opens)
Also apply to at least 6 DO schools and include UNECOM.
