A quick poll for re-applicants who received an II to a school more than once. Did you get the same interviewer?

For the purposes of the poll, a "single interviewer" school is a school that only has one interview during the interview day. A "multiple interviewer" school is a school that has multiple traditional interviews during the interview day. This is NOT the same as an MMI.

@Moko Since you’re viewing this thread, would you mind shedding some light? Do ADCOMS typically assign the same interviewer if an applicant gets an II for more than one cycle?

I don't have enough experience to say one way or the other. Seems like a large hassle though to pair a specific interviewee with a specific interviewer.

I also just stopped by for the poll and am disappointed.

Really? I couldn’t imagine the composition of the ADCOM changing too much from one year to the next.

The timing might be troublesome. But all it takes is to see the previous interviewer and see if they are available again on the interview day.

My guess is that the admissions office has too much going on to care for this issue and thus the chances of getting the same interviewer twice are purely random.

My school has a large pool of interviewers and seldom makes interview invites to reapplicants (at least from what I've seen). I don't know if the applicant would be deliberately scheduled to meet with faculty who did not conduct the previous interview or if the chips fall where they may but given the size of the pool, it is unlikely to be the same interviewer twice.
