I'm a re-applicant and my former school just told me I should have my letter writers update the dates by a year on my letters before they re-upload them. I wasn't expecting any slow-downs so I was only just recently in contact with them. Knowing those professors, there is no way they will all be updated and uploaded into AMCAS before the opening (or a week into it). Is it really necessary to update the dates on letters of recommendation? Is it worth being approx 1<x<2 weeks late?
