Despite applying to 15 schools this cycle, only interviewed at two and am currently wait-listed at one. I had my application submitted in August but took the DAT in early October. My stats are 3.15 sGPA, 3.33 cGPA graduated in 2010, over 200 shadowing hours from a general dentist, tons of extracurricular activities, Dental Radiology Certificate. DAT scores: PAT 20 / QR 15 / RC 23 / BIO 17 / GC 19 / OC 21 / TS 19 / AA 19.

Banking on other post-Dec interviews and waitlist too long this cycle, I now am concerned about being late in ways to improve my application for next cycle. So what would be the most single beneficial change to make to the application if I wanted to submit by July the latest?

DAT retake might push my application late into August, as I work full-time and giving myself 3 months to study again. Or would you advise me to take two courses over the summer to boost up the sGPA and file an academic update in August. Or manage to get other shadowing opportunities and rework my personal statement and submit on June 4th.

Any advice would be appreciated!

post-bac or dat retake. gotta boost those science stats somehow, either gpa or dat-wise

I think anything 15 or lower raises a red flag, even QR. Retake DAT

With no time left before the cycle, I think the single most beneficial thing you can do is apply June 4th. It is too late to change your GPA and unless you are confident you can increase your DAT I wouldn't mess around with that before you apply. If anything apply June 4th and retake your DAT when you are ready.

A common thing between all these re-applicant threads seems to be late application.

Your GPA was a little low. Your DAT was average to low for most schools. you applied pretty late (OCT completion). You may have a chance if you get your APP in Early, but to increase chances you need to up your GPA and/or DAT. Don't stress over the other CV stats. With most programs they look at your GPA and DAT first, then the rest of your app. You have to get through the gate.
