Hey I'm applying Dental schools at the end of the year and I was wondering in general how many letters of recommendations you should have and what types? I've heard 2 science, 1 volunteer, 1 other. Is that a good basic layout? I'm going to talk to my councilor in a bit so yea, just curious. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

i would try to get 1 more science letter. also, try to get your science letters from different disciplines if possible--some schools want a letter from a bio AND chem professor. this way you can cover your bases for all schools.

jb!🙂

I've heard something like 2 science, I would do liker JB said and get one bio and one chem, then I heard 1 non-science professor, and then another one from a dentist.

Don't forget that AADSAS is limiting the number of LORs to 4 for the 2008-2009 application cycle...

so I have 2 science (1 bio, 1 chem), a non science (sculpture), and a dentist (OMFS)...but they are all going through a commitee letter so it technically counts as 4 correct?
