What are your thoughts on practicing RC on GRE? I didn't find it useful..anyone have any other suggestions on practicing RC besides Kaplan and topscore.

Hi tissy,

As a former Kaplan student and a present Kaplan Instructor, I would say that the kaplan strategy worked wonders for me. I am not trying to push kaplan or anything (it would not help me in any way lol). Just sharing with you my personal experiences with the test. Roadmapping saved my life on the test. Feel free to ask me if you have any other questions.

Thanks!! I have found the kaplan roadmapping to work for me. However, I need to practice passages. Any suggestion? I've been reading through past forums so I'm going to practice on the DAT achiever.

Using Kaplan, for me, was not that effective. I was scoring much higher on Kaplan than I did on the actual DAT. That being said on the real DAT, because of the layout if found that it was better to read the question and search for the answer.

Another technique that I got from a non-DAT related source suggested that you read the article backwards. Starting with the last paragraph. The idea is that you understand where the author is going (or in this case went) with the article.
