I scored really low on my RC (like 15 :scared:). I'm starting to ease back into studying again and I want to improve my reading com. I know they say practice practice practice but there is limited number of resources for reading com. I want to start building my speed and understanding for scientific journal (even though I am a Chem major WTF?!).

Which scientific journals do you recommend that is online based? That won't dent my pocket for a subscription.

you dont need to pay for and read scientific journals to improve your RC score. Just focus on practicing more tests and try different strategies in attacking the test until you find one that works for you. Search and destroy is ofcourse most popular.
