I think what they do is average the scores for each of the passages. There are about 17 questions per passage. I think they do this so that you couldn't spend all of your time on two of the passages and get all of those right and then guess on the third passage. It makes it so you have to attempt all the passages equally. Correct me if I am wrong...
 
the score is calculated from all three passages together, you can examine the score frequency tables from last year to get an estimate of the scaled scores and percentages you can expect from your practice tests. link: http://www.ada.org/prof/ed/testing/dat/index.asp (look at the links along the right hand side of the page- click the one that says "score frequency tables". it breaks it down by how many people got a certain number of questions right, what percentage they are, and what score they recieved on each section).

has anyone figured out how they score the RC? the conversion only goes to 17, and that link is now password protected....

I've been getting around 37-39 out of 50? is this any good?
