Reading Goljan RR Pathology while learning it...

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hey guys,

I am an MS I...

...

The question is, I just popped the book, and I realized the book has quite a bit of stuff that my professor did not even mention.

There ya go.

You'll get it all again as an MSII and it'll be much more in depth and pertinent to boards to second time around.

Studying for the boards as an MSI is a good way to make yourself feel good, but doesn't really do a whole lot for you.

Thanks for the info. I will try that! My lecturer made it pretty clear that if I know whatever she teaches in her ppt syllabus, I will be fine for class exam. So I was just curious why she isn't teaching some of this in RR. I guess I will learn it along the later part of my education. But thanks to Zag and G6 again for some comments 🙂 Have a nice day.

Some things will be covered later in your education, I'm sure, but others may not ever be covered. I found Goljan's RR very helpful (in addition to his audio) and used it while going through pathology (basic sciences are the first 2 years at my program, with path going all of the 2nd year). I made sure that I knew the topics in Goljan's RR and then a week or so before the test I made sure I went through all of the class notes, etc. as my primary source to prepare for the test. You'll find what works for you may be very different then others. Best of luck.
