The RC section is hard to improve. It's either your good at it to begin with or not... This section is where it differentiates between students who read alot in their life from those who read at max 3 books entirely their whole life. If you used the S&D method and are still struggling, no idea what to tell you...

First, calm down, second which methods have u tried? have u tried search and destroy? Vipers technique? kaplans strategy? Give Vipers stratergy if u have time. It looks promising...

I had been getting 35 out of 50 on all my prevouse practice exams till yesterday I tried the following ( i have gotten 42 and 41 on the last two practice tests I took yest and today):
read the first few ( I would say 4-5)questions before you start reading the passage. try to keep in mind what they are exactly asking for and start reading. do not read too much into details just get the concept. by the time you are in the third paragraph you should have most of those qs answered, look at the next few and continue. at this point ( you are done with the first two or three paragraphs) stop reading and look through the passage. read the first few sentences of each paragraph looking for key terms you saw in the questions, also see if theose few line would correspond with any of the question, if they do you might need to read more into the following sentences. if you are not getting anything move to the next paragraph. If there was a question that you werent able to find an answer to right away, write its # down and write a key word next to it. while you are doing the next questions you would most likely find the answer for the these as well.

CDR is not even in the ballpark representative of your real dat RC score...

They ask too many inference/tone questions dont worry about that 14-15.

Don't completely dismiss it though because my DAT had quite a few of those and I feel like I got all of them wrong :/ I think RC is more heavily reliant on a good strategy than anything else.

Ring12, I recently took my first practice test and I got a 13 on RC. I tried Vicviper's strategy for reading and it worked the best for me so far. Imanm proposed a strategy, try working that out. Its all about what works best for you. Also, try to stay calm while taking the test specially when it come down to the RC section. Whichever strategy you use, your goal should be to answer the question rather to grasp knowledge out of the passage.
Good Luck!

If some strategy works really good for you, please let me know. It might be helpful to me as well.
