i was wondering if an optometrist can help me read the script i received from my optometrist. I know my spherical is -5.75 for both eyes and my base curve is 8.6. When i went online to purchase my contacts, i wasn't able to select the number "8.6" for my base curve. My only choices to select from were "8.3" or "8.7". What should i choose? Also, the diameter for my eye is 14.2, but "14.0" is already entered for me, and i cannot change that. Can someone explain these numbers for me? Muchly appreciated.

I'm not really sure if this will help, but you might want to make sure that you are ordering the same type and brand of contacts that is on your prescription. Different contacts have different parameters.

It does sound like you're trying to order different contacts than what were prescribed.
