I created this thread so this year's applicants can discuss the colleges that are right for them. I know some of them have already applied, but i live in texas and applications dont start until september.

I am an average person with 3.5 gpa and 70 on pcat, so i just wanted to discuss which colleges do i have a chance with. last year i applied to texas tech and university of houston and i did not get it.
So i know i will not have a good chance to get into Unvi of mich, or Albany or auburn or the other top schools.

So, does anyone know which colleges will i have a better chance for. I researched a little and found USC, which does not require pcat; and Ferris state university.
Any recommendations.

Why dont you try to raise your PCAT

I have a 4.0 with 90 credit hours and i will be taking the PCAT this October and again in January if necessary and will hopefully be entering either Oklahoma University(OKC) or Southwestern Oklahoma State University

Researching schools is something only you can really do. There are a lot of things that go into picking schools, including location, costs, etc. We're not admissions, I wouldn't know if a school would accept you or not.

I recommend Shenandoah, Wingate, and Mercer because I liked them 🙂

I do know that a friend of mine found the ranking of pharm schools (and yes, the ranking is by research funding and all schools are just as great, etc), and picked 2 schools from the top 10, 2 schools from 10-20 list, and 2 schools from 20-40 list.

I too, think that if you raised your PCAT, you would have a better chance of getting into texas tech and houston...

Thanks for your comments.
yes.. i am retaking the pcat again, and i know i will have to do a research on finding pharmacy colleges that i will have best chance on. But i guess just this general discussion will also help others.
And yeah i do have extraciricullar activities, and community service, and letter of recommendation..... and i am pharmacy tech certified.. but still trying to find somewhere to get experience
