I'm in my third year of school. I really want to apply to pharmacy school next year, but I'm not sure if I should take another year or not before I do so. My stats are:
Gen Chem - C
Lab - A
Bio 1 - B+
Bio 2 - A
O Chem I - B
O Chem II - Taking now
Gen Chem 2 - C

The whole thing that really sucks is my gen chem grades. I have about a 3.2 overall. I just want to apply in Ohio & maybe PA. Any suggestions about my likliness of getting in, etc. ?

If I were you, I would retake those Gen Chem classes over the summer. Some pharm schools will let you replace the scores, and all of them will look more favorably on you if you improve your grade in that subject. It's only 8 credit hours and I know that most universities offer 6 week summer programs for most science pre-reqs. Give it a shot. And you can still apply next year, no need to wait until later.

That's funny cuz i literally got the exact same grades u did and got accepted 2 4 schools..i retook chem 1, and took another yr of school (biochem/genetics/immunology/microbio) plus i did really well on my pcat on the chem sec (97) but 83 overall. so yes, i do suggest u take a nother yr of school unless u get an A in org 2 (i got a c)
