Agreed... but there are many things in history books that aren't true... like you grew up thinking Columbus was a great guy, not a murdering lunatic hanged by his own men for treason. Marie Antoinette didn't say 'let them eat cake', I'm sure there are many more...

I think that this thread deserves an award for spawning the most rabbit trails of any thread in the last 2 years.

I've learned a ton of interesting tidbits from reading it. Thanks to you all.

Regarding your post, Ed, I went to a talk by Francis Collins a few years ago and got him to sign my copy of "The Language of God." I love collecting autographed books in general, and the talk wasn't half-bad either. 😛

He also plays a pretty decent guitar, and the song he played takes the cake for sheer nerdiness. 😍
