Hi all--
I feel very fortunate to have a received an II this cycle from a school that gave me one last year and I was waitlisted at, then ultimately rejected. I'm wondering what is the likelihood of getting the exact same interviewer I had last cycle? I really respect the man who interviewed me, but we just didn't connect very well and I feel like we read each other's tone very off. Do schools take this possibility of bias from having met before into account when assigning interviewers to reapplicants?

TIA!

First, congrats on your II! Hope that it's one of many for you this cycle and leads to an A.

To your question: It is highly unlikely that you will have the same interviewer - basically 0%.

If you do, acknowledge it and simply carry on the interview. They will make a decision whether to reschedule you with another interviewer or continue on.
