Hi everyone!

So I took the MCAT late last August for the first time and scored a 511. I got my scores back in September and wasn't sure how applications worked because I'm an idiot and applied to a bunch of schools from Oct-Dec. Obviously I didn't get in anywhere. I was wondering if I should retake my MCAT in early August (Scores come back first week of Sept.). I have already completed my AMCAs for 2018 and plan on submitting it on June 1st. However, do you think I will have a higher chance of gaining admission by submitting secondaries early or with a higher MCAT score in September?

My GPA is low (3.48) primarily because of 24 credits of college level courses taken in high school which I did poorly in. I have well rounded ECs. Planning on doing a post-bac starting in the fall.

Thank you for all your help.

No, you should not retake that MCAT. A 511 is a perfectly good score, and I suspect the reason you didn't get picked up has more to do with your low GPA and late applications. An MCAT retake won't fix either of those things. What you need is some GPA repair, which it sounds like you'll be doing with your post-bacc.
