Hello all. I applied to medical school in 2023 with a rushed application and low MCAT score of 503. The only MD acceptance I got was for a program in my hometown, and I ultimately turned it down for a multitude of reasons. The main two were that the accelerated three year program would not allow me to pursue research and the racism/lack of community I faced in that hometown which caused me to go to college far away. For clarification, I applied to the main campus and put that as my first and only choice; for some reason, they accepted me into their rural program that started up a few years prior.
I am reapplying this upcoming cycle with a 512 mcat and much improved hours but was wondering if my previous acceptance blacklists me from other schools. So far from AMCAS and prewriting secondaries, they only ask about previous matriculation, not acceptance but was wondering if there was anything else that I was missing. Thank you all.
