Hi everyone, I applied during the last cycle. I received several interviews and thought that I would have received some acceptances by now, but I've only been able to manage a few alternate lists. So, I guess I have to start reapplying soon~~

I wanted to send a committee letter from my university, but the application process deadline passed on Feb 2nd (much earlier from the late March deadline last year).

I was wondering, is it looked down upon to send the committee letter I have on file from last year? I have a few new recommendations I can add to it, but I won't be able to generate a new committee letter~~

Side note: I graduated last year, class of 2010

Thanks~

is it common and acceptable for students to submit the same recommendations from last cycle/recommendations dated over a year ago?

At least at the schools that I applied to this cycle, I remember seeing on their website that reapplicants may reuse last year's letters but they would also need to submit additional letters. I would get at least 2 new letters just to be safe at most schools. :luck: with getting off alternate lists.

Wow, thanks everyone~ you've been very helpful

This is somewhat concerning though, as I only have people in my lab that I can ask for recommendations from. And it would probably not be a good idea to get 2 from the same lab right?

Maybe I'll try to track down one of the doctors I shadowed and try to get a recommendation from them?
