I think you've identified where you can improve; you have a good amount of shadowing but some other clinical experience is warranted, whether thats by volunteering or a job. Otherwise you've god a good application.

I would also say yeah you should broaden your list, make sure you have all state schools and regional safeties, and while it's fine to have reaches, you need to make sure your "match" and "safety" schools comprise the majority of your list. Best of luck and remember this cycle isn't over yet either!

School List (From Reach to Target):
  • Vanderbilt
  • Chicago Pritzker
  • Northwestern
  • Case
  • Pittsburgh
  • Iowa Carver
  • Rochester
  • University of Michigan
  • Wake Forest
  • Rush
  • Western Michigan Stryker
  • Nova, MD
  • Herbert Wertheim
  • Florida Atlantic
  • Miami
  • Morsani
  • UCF
  • Kimmel
  • Temple
  • Tufts
  • OSU
  • Cincinnati
  • Toledo
  • Wright State

My take away: My biggest weaknesses are my lower clinical hours and research.

Plan: My main goal will be clinical hours. I also will have a poster presentation and symposium by April. I plan to expand my list to 35 MD schools and remove some reach schools (Northwestern, Chicago, Pitt).
The schools in bold above were donations.

Here is a more realistic list. Rewrite all essays and have multiple eyeballs vet them
