I did a quick search on this and didn't find anything dental school related. This cycle (2006) I decided to apply thinking I might have a chance of being accepted before graduating. It looked promising at first because i interviewed at a couple of schools and was "unofficially" told i would hear good news dec 1st. it didn't happen, i know that sucks, i'm over it eeh. But my question is is there anyway to use the same LOR's without going back to my professors to see if they saved them?I would have gone through committee, but i didn't think i would be reapplying. What has anyone else done? any suggestions? Thank you. oh and happy mother's day everyone.

No... you're going to have to find a way to get new LORs or copies of them from your professors again. Applications are tossed out at the end of each application cycle. 🙂

im sorry to hear that...i think that's an applicant's worst nightmare. you're gonna have to pay another fee to have a new committee letter written for you. the committee will require that you have at least one letter from you professors. you can use your old committee letter, it's not recommended though. btw, what are your stats?

BUMP and my stats are 20/19/21 3.56 overall and 3.25 science. i'm not sure if i mentioned this, but i will start my fourth year of college in the fall and i will take 8 credits and graduate in biology

don't mean to hijack the thread... but unless you have some grand plans after you graduate, why not go ahead and take more science classes? while i think you will get accepted with a solid DAT and GPA... it wouldn't hurt to think about padding the science GPA, would it?

You're right that probably would be smart and better in the long run, but i am working construction right now for my dad and he is way busy he is working over 70 hours a week and i'm between 40 and 50 with a couple of science classes spring and summer term. it kinda sucks, but i do have today off to work on my aadsas and some research homework. i guess i'm a little stressed right now and I don't want to have to ask professors for new LOR's

don't we hate those "walk away feel good interviews." Hopefully your teachers still have the letters saved, if not you have to have them redone.
