I applied in 2017 and was rejected so many school suggested I do an SMP/ graduate work, revise the MCAT and reapply. I'm more than willing to revise the MCAT but it seems almost impossible for me to gain an SMP/ grad school seat. In addition, my former professors won't write LORs despite good grades in their courses and my hard work.

If I revise my MCAT and score 510+, would reapplying with just this make any sense?

Nice to see that you are back Jim! What is your GPA currently?

No for two reasons:
The schools that recommended will see that you ignored their advice, which was good advice to begin with
Your GPA doesn't show that you can handle med school. Why should they admit you just because your MCAT score has gone up?

No med school is doing you any favors by admitting you if you're at risk for failing out.

SMPs are a dime-a-dozen. Just do your research find one that doesn't have a GPA minimum, and be willing to relocate.

Failing that, do a DIY post-bac.

How many is "so many"? If its not really a lot of schools, couldn't you just apply to different schools with a higher MCAT score?

DIY Post-bacc: I don't have money for this so I'd have to do a second Bachelor's.

SMP: I cannot get LORS from professors

What should I do in this situation? I'm willing to do what it takes to eventually get in but it just seems like everything I could/must do is exceedingly convoluted and difficult.

The same as it was previously (cgpa 3.0-3.2 & sgpa 2.9-3.1). I registered for 4 credits in Spring (all I can afford) but this won't move my GPA one iota.

There's no need to do a second bachelors.
Work for a few years and save up the money
Med schools aren't going anywhere.

Once you're in either the post-bac or SMP, you get LORs from them.

it's not about moving your GPA anymore, it's showing that you can handle med school.

This is a marathon now, not a sprint.
