Hey everyone,

This is my second time applying. I am still waitlisted at one program FPU, that I may have a chance to get into in August. If I reapply again, I would like some advice on what I should do differently. I have already taken lots of extra classes and taken the GRE twice.

Here are my stats:

University of California, Davis
Microbiology B.S
Prerequisite gpa: 3.21
Cumulative gpa: 3.25
Last 60 units: 3.70
GRE: Math: 156 Verbal: 154 Writing: 5
Outpatient: ortho/musculoskeletal 3000 hours and peds 20 hours
Inpatient spinal cord: 100 hours
PT aide for 2 years
Letter of rec: 2 PT and 1 work

I know my prerequisite gpa is low, I'm not sure i can do much to improve that. I could retake the GRE and try to score in the 160s.

It'd be great to get some advice, thanks!

Honestly, if you aren't taken off the wait list for that program, I would say either look for other programs that might be in or out of state that have averages of lower GPA's or get some more hours (not a lot) with another location or two. What pre-reqs could you re-take, if any? It may or may not be worth the money, but at this point, it's a matter of weighing your options. You could also contact the colleges you're most interested in and see how you stack up against other applicants and see what their advice is as well. I know my scores overall aren't too far off from yours, but your GRE is better than mine, hence why I'm taking it again lol.

I'd retake any pre-reqs you got C in. If there are none, I'd retake some Bs.
