my current advisor does interviews for an ortho program, she hates when people come across as boring or dull, or if they talk too much. so you have to have the happy medium in the interview

true i think you have to have a lot of energy, or at least seem like an interesting person who is very excited about your potential future

I'm curious to know if, generally, the interview is for you to blow them away to get an acceptance, or for you to just not blow it. I guess that depends on the school though...

i think mostly the interviews work 'not blowing it'..
cause just by numbers, for most schools getting an interview is the hardest part statistically.. so if the school invites you for an interview they are showing considerable interest in you..
