I applied to med schools once 4 years ago. This year, I'm reapplying. I wanted to update my old o-chem letter (I had an A). The prof declined saying it's been 6 years since I took his class. Is there a policy on how many years ago you should've taken the class?

My other science letter was from a guy who left the country and disappeared. I'm working on an alternative science letter but it's not a guarantee yet.

What do I do if I can't find more than 1 science letter?

(I did my MPH in the mean time but none of my science classes count as science).

Any input would be great!

try getting letters from other science profs...i am sure u have taken more science courses...u must explain to the profs that u took time off to pursue the MPH and since u took courses with them, they will be able to write good letters for you (provided that u gave them ur resume, personal statement and transcript)
