Hello everyone,
Regarding rec letters for IM, is a letter from a SubI/AI absolutely required? Right now I will have 2 rec letters from IM subspecialties (palliative care from M4 and GI late into M3) from MDs, along with a rec letter from an IM internist that practices outpatient IM. My school also provides a department letter in addition to the MSPE. I am planning on asking research mentors too. The schedule my school gave me for M4 prevents me from finishing an in-house AI prior to ERAS submissions. They only way I can get one is by doing an away rotation SubI, which I am trying to avoid as I don’t want to spend money. However I am open to it if it absolutely necessary. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
