I just found out my gpa is lower than i thought it was.

GPA trend: i had a horrible 1st year and ever since then it has been at or above a 3.5. trend ranges from a 1.5 first year to a 3.5 sophmore to a 3.8 junior to a 3.5 senior. I really screwed my chances up first year but i hope they notice i have improved a lot. I also had some bad circumstances during that year that might be taken into consideration.

Overall 3.03
Science 3.34
MCAT:took it may 28th, i was scoring a 30 on practice tests so lets go with that

Med school core required classes: mostly A's but a couple B's mainly in labs.

I have one publication and working on my second one right now
120+ hrs of shadowing
3 good letters of rec
2 years of research
TX resident
State school

If i wait until i graduate to apply my GPA has the potential to move up to a 3.2 and by the time i would put in my app this cycle it has the possibility to move up to a 3.1.

I could probably get a few more publications and some volunteer work if i waited until i graduate to apply.

Should i wait a year to apply or should i throw in my app now to see what i get? Do i have any chance at all at a texas school with my stats now?

You should try DO schools with the 30 MCAT 'cause ur ECs look good. Some schools look at ur last 75-120 credits n u definitly have an upward trend ur last 3 years. Apply broadly!
