Hey, I am a freshman who is trying to get started in volunteering. The hospital that I have contacted (and all the hospitals in the area, I am sure) need two letters of reccomendation before I interview and begin!

I was just wondering what the best course of action would be in getting these recs--I was thinking of reaching out to my teachers from HS, but is it okay to email them asking for the letter or should I wait until I can visit and ask? Also, my premed advisor mentioned he would be able to as well--if I were to go this route, should I email him or set up an appointment and ask him in person?

Muchas Gracias! 🙂

Your HS teachers should know you well enough that an email request is fine. The premed advisor isn't well acquainted yet, so it would be better to make an appointment so they can "get to know you" well enough from a conversation to interject some personal references in the letter.
