Received Email about MD/PhD

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yeah, everyone gets that email, even if you're not in the state. They're tricky and know that if they make you feel special, they get more applicants and more moolah. Unless of course, you're interested, in which case go for it.

That's what I thought. How do they get the information?

Ignore it unless you're genuinely interested in doing the long and strenuous MD/PhD route.

Lol get ready for several more of those. I think I had emails from about 10 schools last year that were not on my list asking me to apply just because of that stupid box.

MD/PhD is actually sometimes less competitive (at least by GPA/MCAT).

It takes a lot more time with minimal benefits to your future career.

UAB was actually my throwaway school just to get my primary verified.

I thought I was special. 🙁

I got that email today as well

Also LECOM

Oh man the low ball, I'll watch out for these...

No worries, it gave my heart a little excited flutter at first too.

Yup, happened to me too when I got mail from Wash U. I did a search and found out that it was really common. My friend also got one from Alabama recently.

I never got any of those e-mails. 🙁
