I just got an interview at MCPHS Worcester!!! I'm pretty excited since I'm really interested in the 3 year program. Any advice from those already accepted???
wow, good for you! if you don't mind me asking, what are ur stats? and also what date was ur application complete and up for review?
Got an invite to interview at Creighton today! 😀 I get to pick between Jan. 26th, Feb. 9th, or the regional interview (in Atlanta) on March something. I'll probably go the 26th. Yay! I had received a letter at the beginning of November stating that I was in the alternate pool, so I'm super-excited now!
Campbell University - Dec 8th
Interview offer from the UNC School of Pharmacy for Friday, December 15, but declined because of finals. Alternative interview date is not yet set, but will be sometime in January.
I also just received an interview at ETSU for the 20th. I'll see you there!
Received interview request from MCPHS and Midwestern - Glendale...Decided to not accept the invitation from MCPHS since I have to take three additional classes if I want to go there...Going to Midwestern CPG on 1/12/06...
Why not just go to both of them...u might still get rejected at CPG....u never know....weird **** happens......haven't u heard of somebody rejected with 3.8...96 pcat and 2 yrs pharm experience?? I will say attend as many interviews as u can...
Are you in-state or out-of-state?? I applied there tooCharleston Jan 12th
Nova January 18th

didnt u say in one of ur post u got a low pcat score?? still u got an interview??
Yes--I feel very fortunate--Nova is such an amazing school. I want to go to a more clinically oreinted pharmacy school, and Nova is certainly more clinically oriented. I really hope I get into Nova.
Yes, my PCAT scores are low--but I always freeze up on standardized tests--my SAT and ACT scores are both below average--but I proved myself in the classroom by getting good grades..
I've heard that many schools are starting to phase out standardized tests--I guess that's a good thing--for outliers like myself--and bad for those that score well! 😉
There is more to my application than my PCAT scores--I have a degree--worked in a doctor's office for over 9 years, etc.
But in reality--I know my chances aren't that good--but there has to be something that stuck out that made Nova want to interview me--I feel blessed--I just hope I get in! 👍
congrats on the midwestern interview = )
I applied there as well but they STILL haven't received my PCAT score; you think that's a reason I have not heard from them at all? (neither interview or rejection)- what are my chances? 83% pcat 3.1 GPA
schools starting to phase out standardized testing? i hate to say this, but the pcats are still relatively new and in truth, not that difficult (albeit i did get a 72). i think if anything pcats are starting to become a bit more popular. would anyone believe that the med schools will phase out the mcats or that college will phase out the SATs? i highly doubt that, so lets not hope for schools phasing out pcats. regardless of how we test on the pcats, im glad that its not the only focus of the application.
I never said that schools were getting rid of the PCAT or MCAT--I guess I should have been more specific--
I have read that some colleges ARE IN FACT getting rid of the SAT requirement--because many feel that it does not truly indicate whether or not someone will do well (have a high GPA) in college.
BUT--this is OFF TOPIC--so let's stay on topic--
Congrats to EVERYONE who got an interview--whether you have a high/low GPA, high/low PCAT, etc. 😀
