Hey guys,

So I submitted my app on the 10th and AMCAS received my transcripts on the 14th which was the last thing my app was waiting on. It says I'm currently in line to be verified but I just received a secondary? I'm very confused..

Some schools don't need all the details immediately and will send out secondaries to everyone... its likely one of those. Either way good luck! 🙂

An adcom just told me that they see everyone that is applying to their school but no other info until your app is verified and sent to them. Some will start sending secondaries out just based on having applicants.

Yup. The application cycle is a good revenue source. It doesn't make you feel very loved, though.

Is there any advantage to submitting a secondary before your primary is verified, or is it meaningless to do so?

The advantage is your app will be immediately ready to be reviewed when the primary is verified. Otherwise you will have to submit your secondary after receiving word your app was verified. This could result in you submitting it a few hours to days after, depending on if you were next to your computer when you find out.

Lol, that's as good as meaningless to me. I submitted this week so I'm not expecting verification for 4+ weeks. I'll have the thing done by then.

Basically I just wanted to know if taking this weekend off from aps was justified....apparently, yes.
