Recent Speeding Misdemeanor Affect On Application

I was hoping someone who knows more about medical school admissions committees than I do could offer me some advice with an issue I recently encountered. I was pulled over for going 30 mph over the speed limit and in my state this is considered a misdemeanor. I plan to go to court in hopes of getting it dropped by doing driving school. If this misdemeanor doesn't get dropped is it going to keep me from getting into medical school when I apply this June? Other than this I have no previous legal issues.
