Hey guys, I'm a sophomore and I just finished orgo 1, physics 1, and cell and developmental bio. I've also taken genetics. I basically have all the materials -- TBR, Kaplan, TRPH, etc. Can anyone recommend a good three-week study schedule for winter break? What are you guys studying and working on? I'm planning to take the test in July or August.

I just don't want to waste my time moping around. Thanks!

You probably shouldn't take the MCAT until you've taken the rest of your pre-reqs.. but if you're really serious about this go look at the SN2ED schedule

After this semester I'll finish physics 2 and orgo 2. Should I wait until finishing biochemistry after my junior year?

Personally i feel that you'll be better prepared after taking biochemistry 1 at the least along with physiology. Orgo is great because it gets your mind set up for all of the stuff you learn in biochemistry but the great thing about biochemistry is that you learn alot about principles that apply to biochemical systems (enzymes, catalysis, polymers etc). Physiology ties this up by showing you how all of the different enzymes, etc from biochem work together to make changes in the human body. All in all, i personally feel you will be better prepared after taking biochem/phys just because you learn the material in much more depth than through an mcat prep course/self studying

Thanks for the opinion, taking it after junior year might be the better way to go. Now, what do I do until then? 😕
