Recommendation letter for DO schools

Is it mandatory to have recommendation letter from DO's in order to apply to a DO school? Will recommendation letter from an MD work? I have LOR's from MD's however I am having a hard time finding a DO who will let me shadow him/her and write me a LOR.

Most schools require it. For some an MD letter will be okay. You have to look at the individual school's requirement.

You should be able to find DOs to shadow in here. Write to a bunch of people and some are bound to get back to you. Make sure to mention that you are very interested in being an Osteopath instead of saying "i'm a pre-med".
