I have graduated from India long time and had got the reccomendation letters then. now that I am applying to various schools, I see that they want recommendation letters which are sealed.do I hav to get the letters again from my college in India(which I doubt I will get after so many years) and even if I get them, I will only be able to get one. So If I am applying to a no. of colleges, how will I send the same letter to all of them as most of the colleges want it sealed. Anyone please advise.

there's no way you can apply with only one letter; plus, read carefully the requirements; some may ask to be sealed and signed and sent to you; some univ don't ask for a letter from your dean; have a practitioner/dentist that you worked with write a letter for you; plus, if you can obtain some recomm. letter from someone in the US, the better for you..and ask them to write more than one;
good luck!

can someone help me with the format of the recommendation letters that should be submitted at the time of admission to dental schools. How many recommendation letters should we obtain? Do we have to attach any other letters like statement of purpose? Please kindly help.

hey u seem to require a great help
i can try
the basic requirement is the letter head of ur school
letter should have few paragraphs......first one describing your time period in that institution .following paragraphs should describe your capabilities.
last paragraph must mention that this letter is written for advanced standing program

then the name of the person writing
with signatures and stamp of the authority concerned

be sure to get these on the letter head....

get 2 for sure from your school
one from the dean and one from head of any department

i hope this information helps
